1.0 Dark mode in Chrome

Dark mode is great but there are times like some color combinations make it impossible to read text and you need to get back to the default white background. So you need to undo what was done earlier to get to the dark mode. There are many ways to get to the dark mode ranging from computer’s desktop GUI settings to settings in the Chrome browser. One way to get the dark mode is the experimental auto dark mode for web contents flag in Chrome. You can enable it to get the dark mode and disable it to get back to the default white background.

2.0 Solution

  • Open a browser tab. Go to chrome://flags.
  • Disable the Auto Dark Mode for Web Contents flag.
